Red Earth Museum Collections

The Fred Jones British Columbian totem poles
The Red Earth Museum provides visitors glimpses of a world spanning prehistory through contemporary times.
The Fred Jones British Columbian totem poles stretch upward at the museum's entrance and will lead visitors past Anasazi vessels from approximately 1000 CE, stone tools and arrowheads from circa 1200 CE, an Apache water basket and Navajo blankets from the late 1800s. Visitors will discover such items as Sioux and Cheyenne beadwork, Hopi baskets, and Comanche rattles, all of which paint a sensuous picture in earth tones and natural materials.

Deupree Cradleboard Collection
The museum is also the proud home of the
Deupree Cradleboard Collection, donated by Dr. Harry Deupree of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. This fascinating exhibit is one of the Southwest's finest cradleboard collections, and is a microcosm of the diversity that makes up Native American cultures.
